Job Purpose:
Reporting directly to the Area Manager, the jobholder is responsible and accountable for the overall management and implementation of education programme, development, new partnership initiation, development and management, programme budgeting, budgetary and financial management, programme and financial reporting, human resources management, and administrative trouble shooting and support within the region. The manager is also responsible for providing technical assistance and appropriate monitoring and evaluation in emergency responses

Requirement:
Academic background, Experience & Person Specifications; A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in an Education related field. Post Graduate training in Project Management, Community Development or a Master's degree in any relevant field is an added advantage. Experience in education in emergencies is an added advantage. At least 7 years progressive experience in programme implementation, management and development and 3 of those years in a management position in an international development organization. Relevant experience supervising community based social development and education projects with International NGOs particularly those addressing children's rights and those applying partnership approaches is desirable. General specifications applicable to all positions; -   Experience of working with local partners and District Local Government in Child Rights Governance, Health, Nutrition, Education, HIV/AIDS or Child Protection is an added advantage.
