Qualifications

  • Honours Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Law or any other related discipline.

Duties

  • Carrying out quality assurance checks on approved applications and data.

  • Setting the status of the product to “good”/ or “reject” in consultation with the supervisor.

  • Matching the visual personalization, quality of letter printing.

  • Handling of the Warehouse Software.

  • Analysing failures of these processes and looks for improvement with the Production Manager.

  • Handling the documents over the Warehouse Software.

  • Coordinating the document handling with the Warehouse Manager.

•    Supporting the processing of quarantined applications.

•    Helping end-users answer queries and verify claims.

Job Purpose:

Provide accounting support within the Capital and Contracts Division and in particular, maintain accurate individual project financial records throughout the project life cycle, as a basis for reliable financial reporting. Principal Accountabilities:

•    Maintain the individual project financial records to enable production of accurate status reports for financial accounting and management information within the Capital and Contracts Division

•    Check and confirm cost components are accurate and complete

•    Prepare accurate project cash flow forecasts and monitor fulfillment of obligations to suppliers and contractors.

•    Analyse project records to explain variances between actual performance and budgets

•    Liaise with project managers to conclude on material reconciliations

•    Prepare cost absorption schedules for individual projects and maintain reconciliation to actual costs

Education and experience:

•    Honours degree in Accounting, Business Administration (Finance), or associated discipline.

•    Recently qualified professional accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CPA (U))

•    Strong technical knowledge and experience of business, accounting and finance concepts including IFRS, processes and controls

•    Possess good analytical skills and ability to constructively present and report findings verbally and in written reports

•    Knowledge and experience of SUN accounting or other similar system is desirable. Capable user of MS Office

•    At least three years experience in a professional role in business or accountancy practice environment.

•    Team-based project work experience is desirable Key Competences:

•    Proven impeccable integrity in business dealings and adherence to organisational policies, code of business
conduct, standards, and health and safety policies

•    Confident and possess good capacity to plan, implement and report on own work

•    Good communication skills and experience of interacting with senior engineering, finance and supporting functions

Job Summary: The Electrician will ensure availability of reliable electrical power to the airport users, equipment on a 24-hour basis.


Key Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Electrical repair and maintenance process:

·         Undertakes scheduled and unscheduled work ensuring that standards and good practice is adhered to.
·         Timely attends to emergencies to ensure continued availability of power
·         Carries out daily physical inspection of all major airport electrical systems, records and repairs as necessary.
·         Carries out preventive maintenance of electrical systems and equipment by cleaning and replacing worn out parts
·         Participates in electrical installations for systems and equipment
·         Responsible for trouble shooting to determine causes of faults/ damage before carrying out repairs
·         Records all faults in the log book and maintains up to date and accurate records on all faults for planning purposes
·         Perform any other duties in the job jurisdiction.


Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • The applicant should possess a good Ordinary Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized training institution.
  • At least two years of relevant working experience.
  • Technician membership of the Uganda Institute of Professional Engineers will be an added advantage
