Job Title: General Mechanic – Contract Position 2 Posts

Requirements:
The ideal candidate should be able to;
• Perform installation, maintenance, repair and/or replacement of defective components on truck and Forklifts
• Perform preventive maintenance based on predetermined service schedules
• Perform fault finding and diagnostic test of engines, transmission and drive trains
• Maintain hydraulic systems on forklifts
• Attending to vehicle breakdowns
• Maintain shop tools and equipment in good, safe and clean working order and reports deficiencies
Personnel Specifications
• Degree in Automative Mechanical Engineering or Related qualification
• Must be currently employed as Diesel Mechanic with minimum of five years’ work experience on trucks and forklifts
• Must have prior work experience on MAN. Nissan, and Mercedes Benz trucks and caterpillar forklifts
• Must have excellent problem solving, diagnostic and fault finding skills
• Must hold a local valid heavy duty driver’s license
• Basic knowledge of Human resource management and supervision
