Job Title: Programme Manager VLIR-UOS Project

Organisation: Mountains of the Moon University

Job Location: Lake Saaka Campus, Uganda


Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lend a hand to the programme coordinator in implementation of the project objectives
• Managing the VLIR-IUC programme finances
• Provide administrative services to VLIR-IUC participants
• Ensuring effective communication and reporting within the VLIR-IUC programme
• Facilitate administrative arrangement for Ugandan and visiting project team members.
• Manage the procurement of goods and services
• Develop and maintain VLIR-IUC programme data base
• Manage the project support unit.
• Write and review projects
• Monitor and evaluate the project.
• Report about all the activities of the project
• Account for all the project resources.
• Perform any other duty assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• The applicant should hold a Master’s degree in Business (project planning and management), Agricultural Science (agro- business or extension agriculture) or equivalent.
• PhD is an added advantage.
• At least five years of working experience managing an international project.
• Good project proposal writing skills, project management and management skills and communication skills
• Good analytical and decision making skills.
