Job Title: Health Specialist PT1
Reporting to the Partner Training and Support Manager.
Duties to be Performed
- Interprets and contextualizes global physical development and health parameters as captured in the PFM.
- Works with PF and industry resources to identify needs, resources and trends. Networks with professional counterparts and identifies possible resources and alliances to benefit three core ministries.
- Supports, as a part of the Training and Support Department, the development and implementation of physical development and health curriculum for the three core ministries (where applicable).
- Participates in the design and utilization of the Monitoring and Evaluation Process for physical development outcomes. Collaborates with key stakeholders and analyzes reports and epidemiological trends.
- Delivers learning opportunities within the health specialization. Delivers training on different platforms/blended learning to mid-to-large group events.
The candidate should have:
Personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
Qualifications Knowledge and Skills
- University master’s level degree, or equivalent experience, in Public Health, human medicine or Nursing.
- Three years’ experience in primary and preventative health care field.
- Ability to effectively train non-medical personnel in basic health subjects and help lay leadership adapt best practices to the local context.
- Computer literate, experience with the internet, applications of Microsoft Office and presentation software.
- Ability to speak, read and write English, including the demonstrated ability to write professionally presented proposals.
- Maintains current/valid driver’s license.
