Job Title: Finance Manager

Job Location: Kampala, Uganda
Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic leadership of the finance team, including offering ongoing training, supervision and support to the Accounts staffs and cashiers
• Effective management of donor funds in pursuit of the agreed objectives.
• Ensure financial and control systems are in place for financial management and reporting
• Organize hospital audit meetings
• Be responsible for the preparation of financial budgets in consultation with budget holders
• Ensure timely , accurate and high quality financial reporting on all activities
• Deal with any disciplinary or personnel issues in the finance team
• Oversee financial management at the hospital
• Preparation of monthly statutory deductions namely LST, PAYE & NSSF
• Charged with the continuous improvement and development of the finance team
Person Specification / Qualification:
• Relevant academic training (diploma or degree) in Accounts and/or Finance eg, Business administration (accounting)/B.Com (accounting) etc
• Professional recognition through certification of CPA or ACCA is desirable. Minimum required experience and skills
• At least 3 years experience in Accounting
• Very good computer skills with extensive knowledge of excel, and accounting systems
• High level of integrity
• Good communication skills
• Team work/team building skills
• Track record of team leadership, and team supervision.
