Objectives
- Analysis of hazard and risk that have the most severe impacts on important livelihoods resourcing and the coping strategies of the different groups
- Analyze and record gender related patterns of vulnerability.
- Analyze and correlate the changes in women’s livelihoods to recurrent risks and any program interventions by government or other development partiners in the region
- Highlight intervention both short and long term that could address the gender based vulnerabilities and reinforce resilience of women through increased livelihood resources , decision making and leadership.
Attributes
- Master’s degree or post graduate degree in Gender Studies , International Development , International Relations , law or relevant Social Sciences .
- Minimum 10 years of work experience working on issues of social protection , social welfare , gender equality , poverty reduction , women’s rights
- Experience managing or supporting implementation of development assistance projects with reference for experience with Oxfam Programmes
- Fluency in English , highly developed communication and advocacy skills , including the ability to write concisely and clearly in English
