Datum Africa Limited is a young and dynamic company focused on building long term brands in East Africa. Based in Kampala, Datum Africa specializes in the distribution of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), including food and non-food products, as well as Tyres.

Datum Africa is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Stores Officer at the Warehouse in Kampala.

Main duties:

• To be responsible for maintenance and management of the inventory.
• Responsible for verification of customer invoices before order dispatch.
• Responsible for the supervisory role of the stores team to ensure timely order release and in the right quantity.
• Manage the performance of the stores team.
• Responsible for periodic (monthly) physical stock taking in liaison with the marketing and finance departments.
• Responsible for verification of material quantities before signing of the Goods Received Notes.
• Responsible for timely submission of periodic reports to the finance department.
• Maintain control over all internal and external material dispatch and systems.
• Plan, schedule and co-ordinate daily stores activities in liaison with Sales Department

Knowledge, Skills And Experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree – Procurement & Supply Chain Management or the equivalent.
• At least 4 years’ experience in a senior stores management position, with a verifiable track record in inventory management.
• Strong strategic skills and proven leadership profile.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Highly motivated, self-starter, high energy, positive and inspiring
• Confident, self-assured, participative management style with ability to lead a strong team.
• Excellent communicator in both oral and written
• Strong strategic and planning skills
